Was f\u00fcr eine Reise in den letzten Monaten. Durchaus geschlaucht aber keineswegs m\u00fcde habe ich nach stundenlangen, wirren Grenz-B\u00fcrokratien schlie\u00dflich US-amerikanischen Boden betreten. Von Matthias, einem sehr guten Stifti-Freund aus Uni-Zeiten, wurde ich in Empfang genommen und bestens versorgt. Nach ein paar Tagen Regeneration ging es schlie\u00dflich zu meinem 30. an einen f\u00fcr mich besonderen Ort zur Aufarbeitung der j\u00fcngsten und Vorbereitung der n\u00e4chsten Etappe. Ungl\u00fccklicherweise ist vor ein paar Tagen meine (9-Monate-alte, superteure SSD) Notebook-Festplatte ohne Vorwarnung abgeschmiert. Zwar hatte ich Backups doch knapp vier Wochen wertvoller Daten inkl. Schreibarbeit sind futsch. Da hilft kein Gejammer sondern weitermachen. Hier ein paar Bilder der letzten Wochen:<\/p>\n

What a trip in the last few months. Exhausted but not tired and after several hours more, I managed the tangled-bureaucracies to finally set foot on U.S. soil. Matthias, a very good Stifti-friend from university days, welcomed me and showed me some awesome spots in his neighbourhood. After a few days of regeneration, I went to a special place for my 30th birthday, to digest the last months and to prepare the next adventures. Unfortunately, a few days ago my (9-month-old, super-expensive SSD) notebook hard disk crashed without warning. Although I had backups, I lost four weeks of valuable data, including time-consuming paperwork. Cheer up, there are worse things in life \u2013 and more important from the other point of view: much better things! Here are some pictures of the last weeks:<\/p>\n
