- Ping from the equator -
October 30, 2011
More than 1,300 new emails in my inbox (not counting spam), over a hundred new Facebook messages, unanswered comments on my blog, no updates… The explanation is simple: I’m traveling at 100%, and more than just “intensively”. When locals tell me “No, not possible.”, I just smile and end up showing them that it can be done after all – sometimes at the cost of considerable hardship. The people I meet along the way sum up my current style of travel like this: “You are the most craziest traveller we’ve ever seen.” – Objectively speaking, I can’t really argue with that. I’m really looking forward to telling you about the countless interesting and crazy (!!!) experiences. Until then, please bear with me while I’m not online. I’ll definitely answer all messages once things calm down.
Take care, and all the very best,
currently from Pontianak on Borneo, right on the equator,
Yours, Mathias
PS: Some new GPS data and the route have been updated on the home page.

Hi Mathias,
Philipp
