Germany, Overath –> Cologne –> Berlin

Better short than nothing at all: here’s my first sign of life, covering the last few days.

Departure from Overath on September 17, 2010. In this picture I weigh 98 kg all in (64.5 kg of that is me, 28 kg the backpack and the rest shoes, jacket etc.).

The ride to Cologne and then on the ICE to Berlin was very pleasant and flew by thanks to chats with my fellow passengers (hi, Hendrik!). From Berlin Central Station I took the S-Bahn and a tram to some friends (Kati & Daniel). After a strenuous climb up to the third floor, I got a warm welcome at around 2 a.m. The next evening, shortly before I left, we raised a glass together to the journey ahead:
